Damon Dejulis

I would like to nominate myself for the Director-Eastern Region position. I have over 10 years of experience as a pharmacist in community and managed care settings. I am currently the pharmacy manager for the new Valley Family Pharmacy in Ontario. My goals for serving in this position would be to ensure that all Oregonians, regardless of where they live have access to safe, effective and high-quality pharmacy services.

Eastern Oregon has unique opportunities and challenges due to its large geographic area and rural communities, healthcare workforce shortages and limited access to medical services. I believe the Board of Pharmacy can play an important role in supporting pharmacists and pharmacy staff who often serve as some of the most accessible healthcare professionals in these communities.

My priorities are: strengthening access to pharmacy services in rural and frontier communities. Building strong relationships with pharmacists, techs, healthcare providers and tribal communities to better understand regional needs and concerns. Supporting recruitment and retention efforts for pharmacy professionals in underserved areas by promoting a practice environment that is both patient-centered and professionally rewarding.

My vision is for Eastern Oregon residents to have confidence that they can access pharmacy services that are safe, timely and responsive to their healthcare needs.
